2025 Fl Comearound

Dear Classmates and other members of the USNA 66 Florida Association,

In my typical OCD fashion, I have already begun planning the 2025 Florida Comearound, including selection of dates and (some) venues.

When: Monday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 9, 2025
Where: Winter Park, FL
Lodging: The Alfond Inn at Rollins College (www.thealfondinn.com)

EVENING EVENTS

  • Monday: cocktail reception at Hamilton’s Restaurant & Lounge in the Alfond Inn
  • Tuesday: cocktails & dinner at Armando’s Italian Restaurant
  • Wednesday: cocktails in the Solarium, followed by dinner in the Park Avenue Ballroom, both in the Alfond Inn

DAYTIME EVENTS

  • Boat cruises through the several connected lakes and their connecting canals
  • Golf at the historic (1914) Winter Park Golf Course
  • Morse Museum of American Art, featuring the world’s most comprehensive collection of Louis Tiffany art
  • Mead Botanical Garden – 47 acres of peaceful, stunningly beautiful landscape
  • Countless shopping, dining, and drinking opportunities along the lovely Park Avenue

Folks, you really do not want to miss this Comearound. Winter Park is considered by many to be the prettiest town in Florida, and the Alfond Inn is one of the most sought-after venues for weddings and other upscale group events. In addition to being downright gorgeous, it houses a huge collection of original art. Besides that, we will not be able to do this forever, and each reunion is therefore more precious.

We have blocked 40 rooms for 3 nights (Mon-Wed) at $269. We will soon have a group code to use for making reservations online. Alternatively, you will be able to call our dedicated service team if you have special requests (extra nights, upgrades, etc.). Look for more information soon.

Due to the popularity of this hotel and its events venues, we are having to make a rather large ($4,500) deposit on booking. I will advance the deposit amount, but I respectfully request that, if you plan to attend, you send me your deposit of $100 per person at an early opportunity. Your deposit will be refunded if you cancel before March 1, 2025.  Please make your check payable to me and mail it to our summer residence address: 475 S Church Street, Unit M, Hendersonville, NC  28792.
