Monday evening, April 7th, a total of 62 Classmates, their spouses and guests, and several widows of classmates convened at the fabulous Alfond Inn in Winter Park for the 2025 USNA 66 Florida Comearound. We enjoyed two and a half days of reminiscence, camaraderie, wining & dining, sightseeing, shopping, golfing and relaxation.

Light rain early Tuesday ended just in time for our morning boat tour through Winter Park’s interconnecting lakes and canals. By mid-afternoon, beautiful sunshine, clear skies and comfortable temperatures blessed the afternoon boat tours. Our boat ride was a really fun time and provided great lakeside views of the many beautiful mansions in the area.

Tuesday evening, we enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and great Italian food at Armando’s restaurant, with about half of the diners seated in the outdoor garden.

On Wednesday, most folks wandered along Park Avenue, Winter Park’s answer to LA’s Rodeo Drive or Boston’s Newbury Street, visiting shops, museums and countless restaurants.  In observance of long-standing tradition, four of us played a round of golf on the town’s beautiful and historic golf course, just a few blocks from the hotel.

The grand finale was Wednesday evening, with a cocktail reception in the Alfond’s beautiful solarium, followed by a plated dinner in an adjoining banquet room.

Feedback from attendees is unanimously favorable, regarding the Alfond Inn, the town of Winter Park, and the various events. We’ll call this another successful Comearound!
