2027 Fl Comearound

Dear Classmates and other Honored Members of the USNA 66 Florida Association,

I know it is WAY early, yet necessary, to begin planning for next year’s Comearound. Barring any significant pushback (or volunteers for alternative site planning and ground operations), we’ll be returning to the magnificent Alfond Inn in Winter Park, where I have confirmed availability for April 12-15, 2027 (arriving 4/12 and departing 4/15).

When: Monday, April 12 through Thursday, April 15, 2027
Where: Winter Park, FL
Lodging: The Alfond Inn at Rollins College (www.thealfondinn.com)

Because this resort is so popular, especially at that time of year, we’ll need to block rooms fairly soon in order to assure continued availability. Blocking does not mean reserving, it’s just our best guess as to the number of rooms we’ll need. Sooo, I would really appreciate your advising me at your earliest opportunity if you are reasonably certain that you will plan to attend and to stay at the Alfond Inn.

Those of you who attended last year know what a beautiful, quaint and interesting place Winter Park is, and how nice the Alfond Inn is. If you haven’t been there, it is noteworthy that Winter Park is routinely ranked among Florida’s most beautiful towns, and it offers numerous dining and touring attractions.

And for those of you who attended this year’s Comearound in Jacksonville, you know that the annual event is still among the most pleasant and rewarding things we do as classmates and friends. BZ, by the way, to BZ (Bob Zvacek) for putting together a very memorable and fun 2026 Comearound!

That’s it for now, and you probably won’t hear from me again until Fall unless there is a major change in plans.

Folks, you really do not want to miss this Comearound. Winter Park is considered by many to be the prettiest town in Florida, and the Alfond Inn is one of the most sought-after venues for weddings and other upscale group events. In addition to being downright gorgeous, it houses a huge collection of original art. Besides that, we will not be able to do this forever, and each reunion is therefore more precious.
